The handicraft creations of the women involved in the A.P.I. Workshop become an opportunity to promote intergenerational and intercultural exchanges in Treviso.
The young women of the Institute particularly appreciated the combination of values and colours around which the creativity of the workers, volunteers and female guests of the Services is developed.
The Officina delle API promotes skills, human capabilities and new opportunities for social redemption by opening up more worthy life perspectives on a personal, work, social, cultural and spiritual level.
What better opportunity for young people in training than to understand the value of work in its most beautiful and profound dimension?
Officina has involved them in the conception and creation of a new product combining design, functionality and sustainability for summer 2024 to weave together threads of justice and solidarity.
"I am made of scraps,
colourful bits of every life that passes from mine
and which I sew into my soul.
They are not always beautiful, nor are they always happy,
but they unite me, and make me who I am.
In every encounter, in every contact, they transform me into a better human being.
In every snippet a whole life, a lesson, an affection, a longing,
that make me more of a person, more whole.
And I think that's how life is made:
Of so many little pieces of other people that slowly become part of our history.
And the most beautiful thing is that we will never be completely finished.
There will always be a snippet to add to the soul.
So, thank you each one, for forming part of my life,
and allowing me to make my story more beautiful,
with the scraps you leave in me.
May I also leave pieces of me in the paths I walk,
and be part of your story.
And that in this way, from clipping to clipping, we can be converted,
one day, into the immense fabric called 'us'".
