World Earth Day
Let’s protect it with small daily revolutions
We depend on Nature for our sustenance, so its destruction is a violation of the human right to food and water, life and livelihood. Human rights are a spring that flows from our duty to care for the Earth and our fellow human beings. Ingratitude and presumed superiority lead to man’s violence against Nature and thus against himself.

LIKE HUMMINGBIRDS WE PLAY OUR PART WITH SMALL REVOLUTIONS IN EVERYDAY LIFE
“It is very noble to take on the task of caring for creation with small daily actions, and it is wonderful that education is able to motivate them to the point of shaping a way of life.” (LS 211)
As we participate in the Laudato Sì platform, let us invoke Sister Aguchita who gave witness to a profound respect for the environment so much so that “the Congregation points to her as a ‘Sign of an ecological conscience'”. (Spirituality,Agustina Rivas Lopezla).
May “Aguchita” accompany us on this journey over the next seven years as we pray for “the grace to be an example of pastoral leadership in the service of the Church, in charity with the poorest and in the care of Creation.” (Source: www:rgs.gssweb.org)
