in Italy there is no limit to extreme exploitation
The UN’s call to Italy in 2019 on the rights of migrant workers and their families seems to have been in vain. In the course of 2021, the chronicle has given us an episode of extreme slavery. It happened in May in the Lazio countryside:
"Ten farm workers die of overdoses: drugged to avoid feeling tired in the fields"
The terrible affair also involved a professional network that was broken up by a Carabinieri operation called ‘NO PAIN’.

IT IS CLEAR THAT IT IS NOT ABSOLUTELY SUFFICIENT THAT ALL OVER THE WORLD, since 2000, 18 December has been celebrated as International Migrant Day, an event established by the United Nations to commemorate the approval in 1990 of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families, which recognises the special situation of vulnerability of migrant workers and promotes decent and legitimate working and living conditions.
