The new face of FOCSIV is also a woman

“My election, and that of the new Council, are the result of a serious and transparent process, full of reflections and considerations on the future of FOCSIV, which has enriched and deepened the experience of all of us, to which the bodies of the Federation have contributed with their wealth of experience and history. – stressed the new FOCSIV President, Ivana Borsotto – The new Council has the task of enhancing the participation and variety of the associated realities, the role of women, who are a large and significant presence in cooperation and solidarity and, finally, being a Christian and Catholic Federation, a founding and constitutive element of our history. In order to express how we would like to orient our work, I would like to quote the words of St. Therese of Lisieux, from which I draw inspiration: “We count for nothing, but we must operate as if everything depended on us. This is our responsibility, this is the horizon toward which we will continue our journey.”
